As of 28/07/20 we are closed for the summer. The virtual sessions via Zoom will resume on the 1st September. The Jiu Jitsu Foundation is working towards the resumption of club, regional and national training but the current restrictions make it very difficult to achieve much more than we can already do via Zoom and the Zoom sessions are safer, more convenient and more cost effective for the time being. Once we resume in September we will continue to evaluate the options for returning to club training.

When we resume the virtual training sessions you will need approximately 2m x 1m of clear floor space.

You may also find it useful to have...

  • a pair of shoes you are not wearing (to use as position references)
  • your Jitsu belt (or something similar)
  • a bottle of water
  • a towel

You do not need to join with video/audio if you do not have the capability or prefer not to. However the more people who do the more it will feel like a club session.

You do not need to wear a Gi.

You do not need to be a current active member of the club to join in.

You will need the Zoom client installed on your chosen computer/device and it should work on pretty much everything. If you have not received the meeting details you can contact me via the contact link in the main menu to request them.

Following the UK Government request to stop all unnecessary social contact, and given the close physical nature of our training, I have made the decision to close the club for the time being. Additionally, as of 17/03/20 the Jitsu Foundation, our governing body, has decided to suspend all national, regional and club activity for three months. We will reopen as soon as conditions permit.

In the meantime we will be running virtual sessions focusing on strength, conditioning and movement. These sessions will be run via Zoom and are free to attend. Check the events list for details. Additionally I remind members that they can log in to the members area and access a range of training material and videos to help keep their hard won Jitsu knowledge from fading due to lack of use.

If you do not have a login follow the "create an account" link in the "Members Area" panel.
